HATO LAB is a recipe, ingredient, cost, and batch management system operated by Hato Lab Ltd. It is provided for the operational use of Hato Lab Ltd, its participating bars, and — on a trial basis, per Section 1a below — prospective business customers evaluating the system.

Hato Lab Ltd may grant a business temporary access to evaluate the system before any commercial agreement is signed. This is an interim arrangement, provided as-is and without commitment on either side, pending a full written agreement covering the ongoing relationship. During a trial: your data is treated with the same confidentiality as set out in Section 2 below; Hato Lab Ltd will not use it for any purpose beyond running the trial and will not share it with any other business; and either side may end the trial at any time. This section does not replace, and will be superseded by, a signed agreement if the trial leads to ongoing use.

Recipe formulations, ingredient costs, supplier details, sell prices, and batch QC records held in this system are confidential business information. They may only be used for your work at your bar, must not be copied, exported, or shared outside the organization, and must not be disclosed to competitors or the public. This applies during and after your time working with us.

Original recipes entered here — those not attributed to an outside source — are proprietary and belong to the bar that created them (or to Hato Lab Ltd for recipes shared across every bar). Some recipes in the shared library are classic, public-domain cocktails (e.g. the Martini, Daiquiri, Whiskey Sour) sourced from published cocktail literature — these are marked with their source and are not claimed as proprietary. Where a recipe's source is a book, website, or supplier spec sheet, rights to that original material remain with its original author or publisher; only the formulation as adapted and recorded here is Hato Lab Ltd's own record.

Your login is personal to you — do not share your password or let someone else use your account. What you can see and edit is scoped to your role and bar; don't attempt to access data outside that scope. Access can be suspended or revoked at any time, including when your role changes or your employment ends.

This is an internal operational tool, not a certified food-safety or compliance system. Cost, ABV, and other calculations are provided as a working aid — always verify figures that matter for safety, labelling, or compliance independently.

These terms may be updated from time to time as the system evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
